Irvine C. ‘Uncle’ McNeil
BRADFORD, Pa. — Irvine C. “Uncle” McNeil, 84, of Bradford, formerly of Eldred, passed away on Saturday (June 7, 2025) at the Bradford Manor.
He was born Nov. 18, 1940, in Olean, N.Y., a son of the late Orval and Anna Wallace McNeil.
He was a Vietnam-era U.S. Army veteran who served from June 1965 until his honorable discharge in May 1967. He was employed by the former American Olean Tile, Olean, for 35 years until his retirement.
Uncle was a talented handyman who was always ready to help anyone and fix anything, whether it was under a car or on the roof.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Bohme; one brother, Ivan “Jack” (Margaret) McNeil; one niece, Bonnie Maynard; one great-niece, Crystal (Mark) Long; three great-great-nephews, Joshua, Gregory and Samuel; and cousins, Cathy Chaffee, Alyce Wojcik, Walter (Candi) Wojcik, Richard Wojcik, Skylar Wojcik and Florence Wojcik.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Cowd and Evelyn Maynard.
A graveside service, military honors and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday (June 12, 2025) in the Willow Dale Cemetery Veteran’s Section, Bradford.
