REGARDING

PROPOSED

IMPROVEMENTS TO THE TOWN OF HUME

CONSOLIDATED

WATER DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town board of the Town of Hume, Allegany County, New York, will meet at the Wiscoy/Rossburg FireHall, 11490 County Rd. 27, Fillmore, NY 14735 on August 13, 2025, at 7:15 pm., for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the proposed improvements to the Town of Hume Consolidated Water District with in the Town, pursuant to Article 12-A of the Town Law.

The proposed improvements generally consist of the installation of new water main and appurtenances to extend water servie to the Wiscoy-Rossburg Service Area.

The maximum estimated cost of the proposed improvements is $7,171,000. It is proposed that the cost of the project will be financed through grants and/or loans from various state and federal funding agencies including but not limited to the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) and New York State Home and Community Renewal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

A map, plan, and report prepared by the Town’s consulting engineers, which details the proposed improvements, including cost estimates and method of financing, is on file in the office of the Town Clerk, where it is available for public inspection during regular business hours.

At said public hearing, all interested persons will be heard. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk prior to the hearing.
