Project Description:

The applicant proposes to add 96.7 acres for mining of sand and gravel to the Rte 19 & Associates Gravel Pit facility, presently permitted for 20.4 acres. The proposed expansion area is located north of the existing Rte 19 & Associates Gravel Pit facility. The hours of operation would remain the same as presently permitted. Upon reclamation, this expansion site would consist of approximately 49.3 acres of meadow, 35.0 acres of agricultural land, 9.4 acres of pond, and 3.0 acres of access road. The project is proposed to take place at the facility location listed above. The Department is seeking public comment on the application prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

Cultural resource lists and maps have been checked. The proposed activity is not in an area of identified archaeological sensitivity and no known registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or

accordance with SHPA is required.
