ADOPTION OF BOND

RESOLUTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a bond resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted by the Board of Education of the Friendship Central School District, Town of Friendship, County of Allegany, New York, on April, 15, 2025, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if:

1. (a) such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the School District is not authorized to expend money, or

(b) if the provisions of the law which should be complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty (20) days after the date of such publication of this notice, or

2. such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of the State of New York.

SUMMARY OF BOND

RESOLUTION

The following is a summary of a bond resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the Friendship Central School District on April 15, 2025. Said bond resolution authorizes the purchase of One (1) New 2026 Type C, 64 Pupil Conventional Front-Engine Bus, said bus to be purchased at a total price not to exceed $171,548.69. The plan for the financing of said bus is by the payment of $48.69 from the General Fund, trading in the current school bus in the amount of $16,500.00 and the issuance of a bond anticipation note in an amount not to exceed $155,000.00. The proceeds from the sale of the obligations authorized in said resolution shall be used for the specific purpose of the purchase of the bus referenced herein. The period of probable usefulness for the bus is fifteen years. A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Friendship Central School District Business Office located at 46 Main Street, Town of Friendship, New York.
