Project Description:
The Department has received and is accepting comments on a proposal to continue withdrawing water from two (2) existing wells and to withdraw water from a new third well for a total maximum groundwater withdrawal of 720,000 gallons per day, from a total of three (3) wells, for distribution through the Village of Little Valley water system. In addition to the new well, the project includes the construction of a new water treatment building, updates to the existing wells, and waterline replacements. Construction activities will result in 0.25 acres of permanent impacts and 0.06 acres of temporary impacts to the regulated 100-foot adjacent area of NYS Wetland CA-4.
