NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACT WITH THE VILLAGE OF ANGELICA BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Angelica at the Grange Meeting Room, 59 Park Circle Angelica, New York, at 7:00 P.M. on May 12, 2025 to consider amending the Fire Protection Agreement with the Village of Angelica as required by Town Law §184. The amendment seeks increase the annual amount of the Agreement from $27,000.00 to $54,550.00 for an initial period of 5 years, with an option for future boards to renew this contract amount for three additional 5-year terms. The reason this increase is necessary is to help the Village finance the purchase of a new fire truck. The Village advises that this is a cost-savings measure because there are a limited number of 2024 EPA-compliant engines available. If the Village is unable to purchase the 2024 engine, then it will have to purchase a more costly 2027 engine.

At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter of the proposed area variance will be heard concerning the same.
