    Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Franklinville Central School District, Cattaraugus County, herein called the Owner will receive sealed proposals at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Franklinville Central School District, 31 North Main Street, Franklinville, New York 14737, in the Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) located in the Franklinville High School for the following Work:

    1. Contract 121 – GENERAL Work (Franklinville Elementary School)

    The proposals will be at these dates, times, and places publicly opened and read. All work shall be done in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Gordon W. Jones Associates, Architects, P.C., 5757 Main Street, Williamsville, New York, 14221-5519. All bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 45 days from the date of bid opening, during which time the Owner will be able to award the contracts. If the District publicly announces that Schools are closed due to a weather-related event or other emergency on June 25, 2025, at any time prior to 2:00 pm, this also includes all administrative offices therefore the date and time of the bid submission deadline and the opening of bids shall be advanced to any time prior to 2:00 pm on the next successive date on which the District’s administrative offices are open for business.

    Plans and specifications are available to Prime Contractors and Sub-Contractors on Monday, June 2, 2025. Hardcopies of the Plans and specifications are available from REPROCRAFT for a deposit of $100.00 per set. Checks are to be made payable to the Franklinville Central School District. Construction Documents are available electronically on a CD for a non-refundable charge of $25.00 at REPROCRAFT. If the Contractor wishes to have the bid documents shipped to their office, the contractor must provide their Federal Express (or) UPS account number with their deposit check and REPROCRAFT will ship the drawings & specifications to the bidding contractor at their expense.

    The deposit will be refunded to all Contractors that return the drawings and specifications in good, unmarked condition within ten (10) working days after the bid opening. No part of the deposit will be refunded for partial or damaged sets of the drawings and specifications.

    The proposals will be made as specified by the Architect in the Information for Bidders and will include a Certified Check or a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 10% of the Base Bid. The Bid Bond will state that the Bidder will enter into the Contract if awarded by the Owner and execute further security for the faithful performance of the Contract as required by the

    Owner.

    Bidders will note the required conditions of employment and the minimum New York State Labor Department prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to advertise anew, and to award a contract for the whole or such portion of the work as it determines to be in the best interest of the District.

    There will be NO Pre-Bid Conference for this project. Contractors requiring a site visit to review the Franklinville Elementary School including roof and masonry areas shall contact Mr. Dustin Brisky at (716) 474-9664.
