Allegany Rescue and EMS hosted an open house and fundraising event on Saturday, providing tours of its new $1.5 million building at 117 E. Main St., and offering free blood pressure screenings, CRP races, basket raffles and free hotdogs. The volunteer service, which responds to approximately 1,000 calls per year, has about 20 active members serving Allegany, the St. Bonaventure University campus and Humphrey.
