To commemorate the Town of Randolph’s 200th birthday, local artist Eric Jones created a special sand sculpture downtown in Triangle Park. The sculpture depicts the “Randolph Mammoth” whose remains were unearthed at the Randolph Fish Hatchery in 1934 and is said to be one of the most complete prehistoric mammoth specimens ever discovered in New York state. Former resident Cathy (Brown) Sutherland and current resident Ron Cain show off the finished result.
