Patricia J. Pierce, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
GREAT VALLEY — Patricia J. Pierce, 95, of Great Valley, passed away peacefully Friday (Dec. 26, 2025) surrounded by her loving family.
Born Feb. 9, 1930, in Jamestown, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Maureen Breneman. She was married Sept. 24, 1955, in Jamestown, to George Richard Pierce, who predeceased her.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and worked at Art Metal until her marriage.
She then dedicated her life to raising her six children and creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, laughter and love. Her strong faith and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her family’s life.
Patricia was known for her love of family. She was fond of her marigolds that she planted every year in front of her house.
She was a member of the senior citizen group, women’s card club, Great Valley Home Bureau and the Great Valley United Methodist Church. She was known to spend her weekends either with her family or her very best friends playing cards.
Surviving are five children, Susan Pierce of Cleveland, Tenn., Douglas Pierce, Sandra (Rodney) Goode, Barbara (Charles) Roblee and Shirley (Paul) Roblee, all of Great Valley; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary Breneman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Gregory Pierce; and two sisters, Marilyn and Joyce.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2025) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Great Valley Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 142, Great Valley, NY 14741; the Ellicottville Great Valley Ambulance Service; or a church of the donor’s choice.
