Nancy Darlene Isaman Crane

Nancy Darlene Isaman Crane June 22, 1943 – December 10, 2025

HOUGHTON — Nancy Darlene Isaman Crane of Houghton ended her earthly mission on December 10, 2025, with her loving family by her side, experiencing a surprisingly rapid decline of health, following a rare illness. She was supported by her loving fiancé, James Totsline, of Castile and her daughters, Billie Jo Crane (Brent) Bedford, of Ephrata, WA, and Tammy Newville, of East Rochester.

Nancy was born into a loving family to Francis and Ruby Isaman of Dalton and attended Keshequa Central (Class of 1961). She married Paul (Bill) Crane on February 17, 1962, who predeceased her in 1993. Together they forged a family, created their business Allegany Log Homes, and complemented each other’s strengths, realizing their personal and professional visions. It was her lifelong dream to run her own business, and she did so successfully until her retirement in 2016.

She was known for her hospitality, love of family, generous spirit, and Christian faith. Her door was open to all, and she delighted in serving delicious food, beginning to cook at a very young age. She worked several positions within food service for decades but always wanted to be an entrepreneur.  She had a magnetic personality, making friends everywhere she went. She lived life to the fullest, traveling with Jim and other friends, going to “Cruise Nights” with the Corvette Club, hosting card parties, and serving as a lifelong member of Garwoods Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Billie (Brent) and Tammy; fiancé, James Totsline, and his children: Gerald (Tracy) Totsline, Rochester and Greg (Debbie) Totsline of Maryland. Grandchildren: Sadie (Martin) Bedford; Sienna (Michael) Veenendaal; Chenoa Bedford; Liam Bedford of Washington State, and Ian Newville, Ireland (Tim) Newville of New York State, Great Grandchildren: Lewyn Farrow, Nora Veenendaal, and Emma Veenendaal. Siblings: Robert (Katherine) Isaman, Dalton, Richard (Kathleen) Isaman, North Chili; Ronald (Cheryl) Isaman of Olean, Barbara(Warren) Isaman-Bushart of Marion and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nancy is predeceased by her faithful and loving husband, Bill Crane; her parents, Francis and Ruby Isaman; and Paul and Elizabeth Crane, her in-laws.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore and from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Garwoods United Methodist Church where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
