Patricia E. Seigford

LANCASTER, Pa. — Patricia E. Seigford, 87, of Lancaster and formerly of Lititz and Hinsdale, NY, passed away on October 24, 2025 in Lancaster.

She was the wife of the late William L. Seigford, who passed away in August of 2024. Born in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Arlene H. Rarer Randall.

Pat was a 1955 graduate of Hinsdale Central School, and was a stewardess from 1960 to 1962 with Eastern Airlines and American Airlines. After starting a family, she worked as a certified medical transcriptionist for over 20 years at the former St. Joseph Hospital and for 4 years of Lancaster General Hospital until her retirement in 2005. During this time, she had also done transcription for several doctors’ practices in the Lancaster area.

Pat was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Lancaster and formerly a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill in Lititz.

She was an avid longtime Phillies fan, enjoyed all kinds of country music and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lancaster Mother of Twins Club.

Pat is survived by her children: Mark W. Seigford of Lancaster, and Melanie A. married to Mark D. Burkholder of Lancaster; her grandchildren Hilary A. and Mitchell E Burkholder of Lancaster; her sister, Marlea S. married to William Hurlburt of Olean, NY and her brother, Ronald H. Randall of Cuba, NY. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew H. Seigford, in 2022.

Friends will be received by Pat’s family on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 1-2PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with the Memorial Service to follow at 2PM. Interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
