Bruce R. Wilson

MACHIAS — Bruce Wilson, of Bird Road, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 15, 2025) at Olean General Hospital.

Bruce was born Sept. 24, 1932, in Franklinville, and was the son of Raymond C. and Vivian Simpson Wilson. On Feb. 25, 1955, in Niagara Falls, he married Henrietta Peters, who predeceased him March 26, 2022.

Bruce retired in the 90s from Ryder PIE. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Arcade.

Bruce enjoyed spending time on his farm raising cows and taking care of his cats.

Bruce is survived by three sons, Allen (Linda) Wilson of Seymour, Mo., Craig (Jodi Lynn) Wilson of Sanford, Fla. and Keith (Jodie) Wilson of Machias; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Henrietta, Bruce was predeceased by his parents; three children, Bruce Wilson Jr. Rodney Wilson and Eric Wilson; and six siblings, Sandra Smith, James R. Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Robert Wilson, Betty Reeves and Charlotte Thompson.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday (Oct. 20, 2025) at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville,  at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Tom Calzone will officiate.  Burial will be in Mount Prospect Cemetery.
