Roxana Mary Boser, devoted wife, mother and grandmother
ALLEGANY — Roxana Mary Boser, 71, of Chipmonk Road, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2025), surrounded by her loving family.
Roxan was born March 1, 1954, at her family home in Allegany, and was the youngest of eight children born to Charles B. and Marfisa A. Giardini. On Dece. 15, 1972 at the former St. John the Baptist Church in Vandalia, she wed Robert J. Boser, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage.
She was a 1972 graduate of Allegany Central School and earned a nursing certificate from BOCES.
Prior to raising her family, she worked as a nurse’s aide and also substituted in the Allegany Central School District.
Roxan took great joy in raising her daughters and being able to witness all of her grandchildren’s milestones, activities and sports. She treasured family get-togethers, with a favorite eating spot being Dina’s Restaurant. She also loved nature and being outdoors to grow her flowers, garden, bird watch and soak up the sun. She loved her ‘hair days” with her special friend, Kris. Above all else, Roxan loved her “best girlfriend,” her dog, Charley B.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert; three daughters, Jenny (David) Kwiatkowski of Allegany, Jessica (Rich Rogalski) Zalwsky of Fredonia and Jill (Adam) Yehl of Ischua; 10 grandchildren, Mason, Hudson, and Carson Kwiatkowski, Ethan Zalwsky, Grace Zalwsky-Kadau and Faith Zalwsky, Dakota, Adam “AJ”, Lily and Kennedy Yehl; one sister, Joey Giardini of Syracuse; and many nieces and nephews. She looked forward to being a soon-to-be great grandmother. In addition to her beloved grandchildren, she also held their spouses and significant others in the highest regard and appreciation for making her feel such a special part of their lives.
She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Helen Fischer, Geraldine McGinty and Lillian Giardini; and three brothers, Raymond Giardini, Charles Giardini Jr. and Robert Giardini.
The family will privately honor Roxan’s memory with a funeral mass at St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will take place in St. Bonaventure Cemetery at a later date.
In keeping with her love of pets, especially dogs, memorials may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, C/O Pet Therapy Program, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
