Richard K. Russ

FRANKLINVILLE — Richard K. Russ, of Hardy Corners Road, passed away Saturday (Sept. 27, 2025) at Buffalo General Hospital.

Richard was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Lyons. He was the son of Kenneth N. and Thressa F. Slade Russ. On April 27, 1963, in Rushford, he married Barbara Rogacki, his high school sweetheart, who survives.

Richard was a 1960 graduate of Rushford Central School.

He enjoyed woodworking and working in his yard on his tractor or puttering in the barn. Richard loved his grandchildren and his family. He enjoyed getting his photo updates about them.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his two children, Robert (Kathleen) Russ of Franklinville and Sandra (Lee) Armison of Gorham; seven grandchildren, Kristoffer (Joanna), Matthew (Samantha), Jordan, Jeremy, Cassandra (Curtis) Landon, Diante and Nathaniel; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild arriving soon; and a sister, Neva (Daniel) Murcin.

Richard was predeceased by his parents; two children before birth; and a sister, Judy (Nelson) Irish.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 2, 2025) at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (Oct. 3, 2025) at St. Philomena’s Roman Catholic Church, 26 Plymouth Ave., Franklinville. Burial will be in White Cemetery.
