CATTARAUGUS — Mitchell J. Wirth, 30, of Cattaraugus, passed away Friday (Sept. 19, 2025) unexpectedly, due to an automobile accident.
He was born Sept. 1, 1995, in Buffalo, son of the former Trisha Maul Glenn Priest of Cattaraugus and James R. (Dana) Wirth of Amherst, who survive.
A graduate of Williamsville South High School, Mitchell would later work for Kleen Windows in Buffalo for 10 years.
He will be remembered as a tinkerer; he worked on projects and cars, whatever he could make use of. He always found a way to fix whatever he was working on. Mitch also enjoyed music and playing his guitar.
Besides his parents and step-parents, Mitchell is survived by a special daughter, Cecilia “Cece” Wirth; and eight siblings, Cara (Mitch) Eddy of Randolph, Rebecca Priest of Fredonia, Alexander Bryant of Cattaraugus, Alex Priest of Cattaraugus, Glenn Priest Jr. of Cattaraugus, Trevor Priest of Cattaraugus, Charlie Wirth of Amherst and Phoebe Wirth of Amherst; and two nieces, Bentley and Nova. Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Wayne (Dora) Maul of Machias; a paternal grandmother, Jerrilyn (late Richard) Lindke of Ohio; and a maternal great-grandfather, Clayton (late Dorothy) Wagner of North Java; as well as his special godmother, Kim Sutherland. Also surviving are several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Mitchell is also predeceased by grandparents and great-parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday (Sept. 26, 2025) from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 27, 2025) from the funeral home. Burial will be in Otto Lutheran Cemetery.
