Olean native Bill Easley spoke with Olean High School music students Tuesday afternoon in the auditorium of his alma mater. The professional musician and recording artist for over six decades is back in his hometown for a jazz concert on Wednesday, commemorating the day he left Olean for New York City in 1964 and his late mother’s birthday. Easley spent his time with the students sharing stories, offering words of wisdom, discussing music theory and even making up some tunes on the spot. The Bill Easley Trio, as well as some special guests, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Olean High School auditorium. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Olean Music Boosters and Olean VFW. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and seniors.
