OLEAN — Robert A. Crawford, 65, of Olean, entered into the arms of the Lord on Thursday (Sept. 11, 2025) at Absolut of Allegany, surrounded by his loving family. He joyously became a member of the cloud of heavenly witnesses.

Born Nov. 17, 1959, in Buffalo, he was one of nine children born to Virgil and Shirley J. Wagner Crawford.

Bob completed his high school years with a degree from Cattaraugus County BOCES and worked as a handyman in the Olean area until his retirement.

He was always busy helping others and used his mechanical skills doing small engine repairs as well as fixing bicycles. He also was usually working under the hood of his car.

He leaves behind his loving and faithful companion of over 20 years, Lori Harp; five brothers and sisters, Anita (Mike) Nolder of Gallatin, Tenn., Stephen (Georgia Conrad) Crawford of Killbuck, Thomas Crawford of Dayton, Tenn., Frederick Crawford of Salamanca and Cheryl Crawford of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews. He also was deeply loved by Lori’s four children, Keven Curtis of Bradford, Pa., Michael Harp of Hamburg, Coty Wargo of Buffalo and Starr Wargo of Rochester; and two grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Carrie Crawford on Nov. 18, 2021; two brothers, Terry Crawford and David Crawford; and a sister, Joyce Chamberlain.

The family welcomes visitors to a memorial visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday (Sept. 19, 2025) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Mike Nolder, brother-in-law to Bob, and Rev. Joseph Smith, will co-officiate.
