Londa L. Wilson,  beloved mother, grandmother and sister

OLEAN — Londa L. Wilson, 61, of Olean, formerly of Shinglehouse, Pa., passed away unexpectedly with her loving sons, grandbabies, sister and nephew by her side on Saturday (Sept. 13, 2025) in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo.

Born Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1963, in Olean, she was a daughter of James L. Dingman and Joan Calhoun Dingman Richardson.

Londa was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.

She was employed in the mail room at the Olean Times Herald in Olean for many years. She had also been employed as a CNA at the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse in Allegany. Londa and her former husband owned and operated the former A-1 Taxi Company in Olean.

Londa enjoyed bowling in her early years, having belonged to bowling leagues in Olean. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and arts and crafts. She enjoyed bicycling with her son, Dustin, when he was younger.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Paul E. Wilson Jr. and Dustin James Keith Wilson, both of Olean; two granddaughters, Nikole Wilson and Shaunna Wilson; two sisters, Lori (Craig Bixby) Maxson-Bixby of Spring Hill, Tenn. and Lainie (Dave) Kephart of Eldred, Pa.; two step-siblings, Cindy (Dave) Dunbar of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Chris Coris of Olean; two aunts, Dorothy Carr of Austin, Pa. and Julie Dingman of Ohio; three uncles, Roger Wilson of Ohio, Tom (Judy) Calhoun of Friendship and Lee Calhoun of whitefish, Mont.; four nephews, Kyle Sturdevant and Shawn Wetherby, both of Eldred, Rob Kephart of Duke Center, Pa. and Michael (Tia) Kephart of Holloman AFB, N.M.; two nieces, Rikki (Matt) Rosseli of Franklin, Tenn. and Sharda Taylor of Eldred; two grandnieces, Aleena and RaeLynn; a grandnephew, Lincoln; and several cousins.

Londa was predeceased by her parents.

A celebration of Londa’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (Sept. 19, 2025) at Assembly Park, South Oswayo Street, Shinglehouse. The Rev. Russell J. Horning, of Shinglehouse, will officiate.  Londa’s ashes will be interred in the family plot at Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Londa’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Londa’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
