FRANKLINVILLE — Frank C. Ryan, of Crestview Avenue, passed away Wednesday (Sept. 3, 2025), following a brief illness, at Olean General Hospital.
Frank was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Olean, and was the son of Alfred and Mary Anderson Ryan. On July 30, 1962, in Bath, he married Clara Hubbard, who survives.
Frank was a 1955 graduate of Olean High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960.
He then became a firefighter for the City of Olean. Soon after, Frank began his career with the New York State Police for over 20 years.
His retirement led him to be the owner of Firehouse Liquors, working alongside his wife Clara for many years.
Frank enjoyed traveling the world and exercising, especially running and biking. One of Frank’s favorite adventures was snorkeling in the South Pacific.
Beside his loving wife, Clara, Frank is survived by his daughter, Christina Ryan of Franklinville; his son, Jason (Sue) Ryan of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughters, Emily, Chelsea and Meghan; and great-grandchildren, Atlas, Phoebe, Abigail and Parker.
Frank was predeceased by his parents; his son, Matthew; and two siblings, Larrie and Earl Ryan.
There will be no services at this time.
