Robert A. Lee,  beloved husband, father, grandfather

ALLEGANY — Robert A. Lee, 74, formerly of Cuba, passed away peacefully Monday (Aug. 25, 2025) at the Absolut Care of Allegany, after a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 1, 1950, in Scranton, Pa., he was a son of Dorothy (Chester Dorr) Lee. On March 16, 1979, in Rochester, he married the former Sandra J. Dillenbeck, who predeceased him.

Bob had resided in Rochester, Cuba and lived in Nashville, N.C., briefly before moving back to New York and eventually residing in Absolut Care of Allegany.

He worked at Sal’s collision shop in Rochester for many years and also was the owner of R.L. Collision in Cuba, before having to retire in 2005 due to suffering from a stroke.

Bob will always be remembered for his pranks and his sense of humor, his love of the Beatles, but most of all for his kindness.

Survived by four daughters, Maria Lee and Sandy (Ryan) Perry, both of Rochester, Rachel (Daryl) Work of Siler City, N.C. and Tara (Cris Vazquez) Lee of Long Beach, Calif.; a stepson, Thomas (Donna) Hughes of Kenneth City, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Aj, Ashley, Jennifer, Daisy, Dylan, Kalie, Zach, Cooper, Joey, Brianna, Julie and Kairi.

He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy and her companion Chester; his wife, Sandra; a stepson, Luis; and a granddaughter, Luisana (Maria).

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
