He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and the harmonica with the group “Countrymen for Christ,” a group of men from the church. Jim enjoyed camping with his children and grandchildren, traveling to multiple state parks every year.  He took great pride in his campground in Richburg, N.Y., where many friends and family have enjoyed for the last 30 years.

He also loved antique cars and enjoyed restoring vintage bikes.  In his younger years, he enjoyed his motorcycles.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 67 years; five children, Steve (Regina Kellogg) Paddison of Ceres, N.Y., Russ (Bonnie) Paddison of Ceres, Karen (Brad) Burr of Port Allegany, Neil Paddison of Shinglehouse and Jennifer (Bill) Lewis of Olean; nine grandchildren, Travis Paddison, Emily (Brandon) Serkleski, Brittany (Chris Padlo) Paddison, Shane (Kelly McConnaughey) Paddison, Colyn (Brandi) Burr, Caleb (Cassie) Burr, Cory (Jerri) Burr, Tyler (Stacey) Lewis and Brooke (Seth) Snowden; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Curt) Mansell of Spencerport, N.Y.; two nieces, Sheryl (Tom) Costa and Debbie Paddison; and two nephews, Mark (Bernie) Mansell and Billy Paddison.

In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by a brother, Bill Paddison; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Paddison.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2025) at Bell Run Union Church, 904 Taylor Brook Road, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Chad E. Shaffer officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim’s name may be made to Bell Run Union Church, 904 Taylor Brook Road, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
