Warm, mostly dry week in the Olean-area forecast
The National Weather Service predicts that the remainder of the coming week should be fairly seasonable, with normal July temperatures and a fair supply of sunshine.
“We’re going to pretty much hover, throughout most of the rest of the week, around the 80 mark or low 80s, I’d say, through Friday,” said Matthew Brothers, a meteorologist at the Buffalo office of the NWS.
While Tropical Depression Chantal is expected to work its way up the East Coast early this week, Western New York is not currently predicted to experience any effects apart from a stray rain shower in the southeastern portion of the region.

Tuesday should be partly cloudy with a high around 80. Wednesday will likely be more overcast, though the afternoon high temperature will be about the same.
Things become a little more unsettled on Thursday, with morning showers possibly developing into late day scattered thunderstorms. The high should be in the low-80s.
Friday will be partly cloudy with some occasional rain showers in the afternoon and a high in the low 80s.
Looking ahead to the coming weekend, Saturday looks to be the better of the days weather-wise, with partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid-80s. There is a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Sunday is expected to be mainly cloudy with some morning showers and afternoon thunderstorms.
