    Salamanca Police

    • June 25, 7:59 a.m., Amber White, 37, of Salamanca, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding, a violation. White was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 25, 3:09 p.m., a 16-year-old Salamanca girl was charged with third-degree assault, a class B misdemeanor. She was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 25, 4:31 p.m., Marvin M. Shantler, 29, of Salamanca, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and operation of a motor vehicle without a license and operating a motor vehicle with no inspection, infractions. Shantler was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 25, 5:10 p.m., Lateef d. Ghani, 45, of West Valley, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class A misdemeanors; and first-degree harassment, a violation. Ghani was held pending arraignment.
    • June 25, 7:39 p.m., Garret J. McArthur, 22, of Holland, was charged with second-degree unlawful feeling a police officer, a Class E felony, and a number of violations and infractions, including reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, speeding, failing to stop at a stop sign, operating an unregistered motor vehicles on highway, no license plate or single license plate, failing to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle and drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway. McArthur was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 25, 11:12 p.m., Adam B. Wakefield, 41, of Fort Collins, Colo., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle without a license and insufficient tail lamps, infractions. Wakefield was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 27, 3:33 p.m. Waymon A. Kennedy, 19, of Steamburg, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and passing through red light and operating a motor vehicle with no inspection, infractions. Kennedy was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 27, 9:18 p.m., Andrew L. Button, 35, of Salamanca, was picked up on an arrest warrant, charging him with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Button was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 28, 1 a.m., Jed J. Nickerson, 27, of Salamanca, was charged with first-offense driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; and several infractions and violations, including speeding, windshield tint, failing to signal, failing to signal, failing to stop at a stop sign and no license plate or single license plate. Nickerson was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 28, 1:25 p.m., Shylia A. Dunning, 37, of Dayton, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding, an infraction. Dunning was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 28, 5:23 p.m., Brandon A. Futrell, 24, of Salamanca, was picked up on an arrest warrant charging him with second-degree harassment, a violation. Futrell was held pending arraignment.
    • June 28, 9:25 p.m., Katharine L. Washy, 33, of Hamburg, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failing to signal, an infraction. Washy was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • June 29, 1:46 p.m., Salvador Casares, 46, of Allegany, was charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause injury to an officer, a class D felony; aggravated harassment of an employee by an incarcerated individual, a class E felony; second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, second-degree criminal impersonation and resisting arrest, class A misdemeanors; first-degree driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08% or greater and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unclassified misdemeanors; operating a motor vehicle without insurance, an infraction; and disorderly conduct, a violation. Casares was held pending arraignment.
    • June 29, 9:13 p.m., Jerry A. Halstead, 75, of Salamanca, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and unsafe backing, an infraction. Halstead was processed and issued an appearance ticket.

    Wellsville Police

    • Saturday, no time reported, Richard R. Recio, 64, of Wellsville, was charged with public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. Recio was processed and released with an appearance ticket.
    • Saturday, no time reported, Jason M. Gates, 46, of Deltona, Fla., was arrested on a warrant charging him with third-degree criminal possession of an assault weapon, class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor. Charges stem from an incident reported in November 2020. Gates was processed and transported to Allegany County Jail pending arraignment.
    • Monday, no time reported, Roselynn-Ann H. Bliss, 26, of Friendship, was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Bliss was processed and transported to Allegany County Jail pending arraignment.

    Allegany County Sheriff’s Office

    • BELMONT — Gretchen Brewer, 67, of Friendship, was charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree welfare fraud, both class D felonies, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday. Charges stem from Brewer allegedly obtaining $4,993 in social services benefits that she was not entitled to. Brewer was processed and transported to Allegany County Jail pending arraignment.
    • BELMONT — Adrianne Searl, 43, of Caneadea, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Town of Amity Court with the charge of second-degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor. Searl was processed and transported to Allegany County Jail pending arraignment.

    New York State Police

    • YORKSHIRE — MacKenzie B. Dashnaw, 23, of Freedom, and Summer J. Mathews, 44, of Chaffee, were both charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property valued and more than $1,000, a class E felony. Dashnaw was charged at 11:57 p.m. June 24, and Mathews was charged at 10:50 a.m. June 27. Dashnaw was also charged with criminal mischief – reckless property damage greater than $250, a class A misdemeanor. Both Dashnaw and Mathews were processed and issued appearance tickets.
    • SOUTH VALLEY — James E. Baran, 50, of Jamestown, was charged at 12:13 a.m. June 27 with third-degree criminal tampering and sixth-degree conspiracy, class B misdemeanors. Baran was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • OLEAN — Shirley Lee, 30, of Portville, was charged at 4:01 p.m. June 27 with unauthorized use of a vehicle: temporary custody – no consent, a class A misdemeanor. Lee was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • ALLEGANY — Jessica L. Banks, 37, of Olean, was charged at 6:01 p.m. June 27 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny, class A misdemeanors. Banks was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • CANASERAGA — David Lee Scott, 60, of Canaseraga, was charged at 7:32 p.m. June 27 with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration – prevent official function, class A misdemeanors. Scott’s status was not reported.
    • SALAMANCA — Brian J. Peterson Jr., 35, of Franklinville, was charged at 2:11 a.m. June 28 with first-offense driving while intoxicated and first-offense operation of a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors. Peterson was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • ALLEGANY — Samantha R. Reed, 34, of Olean, was charged at 3:47 p.m. June 28 with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors. Reed was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • MACHIAS — Chandler J. Jansen, 30, of Machias, was charged at 11:29 p.m. June 28 with first-offense driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI per se with a blood-alcohol content of 0.18% or greater – no priors, unclassified misdemeanors. Jansen was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • MACHIAS — Ian Timothy Clarke, 28, of Alfred Station, was charged at 3:36 a.m. June 29 with first-offense driving while intoxicated and first-offense operation of a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors. Clarke was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • MACHIAS — Ryan Nicholas Cremen, 25, of Delevan, was charged at 6:39 a.m. June 29 with first-degree driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor. Cremen was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • SOUTH VALLEY — Misty Harkins, 45, of Jamestown, was charged at 9:39 a.m. June 29 with third-degree criminal tampering and sixth-degree conspiracy, class B misdemeanors. Harkins was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • ALLEGANY — Marc W. Bartick, 65, of Allegany, was charged at 2:15 p.m. June 29 with acting in a manner to injure a child younger than 17, a class A misdemeanor, and public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. Bartick was processed and released on his own recognizance.
    • WIRT — Ashley K. Plants, 29, of Bolivar, was charged at 3:09 p.m. with criminal mischief – intent to damage property, a class A misdemeanor. Plants was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
    • MACHIAS — Chandler J. Jansen, 30, of Machias, was charged at 5:09 p.m. June 29 with third-degree criminal trespass property fenced in or enclosed, a class B misdemeanor. Jansen was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
