Olean High alumni gather for 140th reunion
George Linnan (center), with his two daughters, Lisa and Tami, took part in his 70th Olean High School reunion on Saturday.
The Olean High School Alumni Association hosted the 140th annual reunion gathering Saturday evening at Good Times of Olean as the longtime formal dinner was replaced by a more casual event with live music, snacks and a cash bar.
The OHS reunion weekend is unique in that all alumni from all classes are invited to take part in activities over the weekend, which included OHS Wall of Honor and OHS Athletics Wall of Fame induction ceremonies and the annual Red & Gold Golf Scramble.
Also Saturday, a granite memorial bench was dedicated to Joseph Quinlan, a longtime English teacher at Olean High School. He was the Class of 1965 advisor for four years — that class organized the honor for Quinlan.
Friends at the Olean High reunion Saturday are (seated, from left) Sandy Aiello Frey and Emma Pascucci Marble and (standing, from left) Mary Ash DiDonna, Susie Freaney Rogers and Judy Kahle Weatherby.
