Letter to the Editor: Trust experience in county treasurer race
As a former FBI agent who proudly hails from Allegany County, I have spent many years away from home but have consistently returned to my second residence in West Almond. Each visit reminds me of the important values we hold as a community, especially in the realm of governance and financial integrity.
With the upcoming election for county treasurer, I want to express my strong endorsement for Jenna Kelley whose experience and education makes her the most qualified person for this vital role. Having dedicated my career to safeguarding our nation and addressing financial crimes, I am acutely aware of the risks associated with high-dollar investments. It is essential that we entrust this position to someone who not only understands the intricacies of finance but also possesses a proven track record of ethical decision-making of taxpayer’s money.
In my years with the FBI, I have witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of fraud in financial management. With our county’s resources at stake, the county treasurer must be someone who can detect irregularities and ensure transparency. Jenna Kelley embodies these qualities, having amassed significant experience in both public service and financial oversight. Her educational background and steadfast commitment to ethical practices will serve our county well, particularly in these challenging economic times.
Support a candidate who will not only safeguard our investments but also uphold the trust we place in our county leadership.
