Ruth M. Baillargeon, mother, grandmother, sister
BELFAST — Ruth M. Baillargeon, 82, of Belfast, passed away Monday (June 16, 2025) at Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wellsville, after an illness.
Born Nov. 26, 1942, in Moravia, she was a daughter of Paul S. Mead Sr. and Ruth E. Weddigen.
Ruth worked for the New York State Department of Transportation from 1987-2009 out of the Caneadea shop.
She enjoyed some travel throughout her life.
She is survived by three sons, Doug (Robin) Harrison of Belfast, Mark Harrison of Chatsworth, Ga. and Lee Harrison of Belfast; her grandchildren, Tyler, Katy, Morgan and George; a brother, Alan (Vi) Maynard of Whitesville; a sister, Evie (Ted) Mattes of Union Springs; a sister-in-law, Ardith Lee of Clifton Springs; and several nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Neal Maynard; and her siblings, Francis, Laura, Paul and Karen.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday (June 19, 2025) at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (June 20, 2025) in the funeral home. Pastor Claudia Little will officiate. Burial will be in Oramel Cemetery, Oramel.
