    Ellicottville’s Courtney Marsh wins CCAA 4 softball player of the year

    Ellicottville softball senior Courtney Marsh got some hardware to cap off her career with the CCAA 4 Player of the Year, while freshman teammate Katie Lafferty took the pitcher of the year award.

    The Eagles reached the Section 6 Class D title game this past season, losing a 2-0 contest to Forestville. Ellicottville also had Teaghan Finn, Riley Whitmer and Ande Northrup make the first team while Matt Finn won Coach of the Year.

    Portville had three first team selections with Madison Ford, Isabella Morales and Peyton Young. Other local standouts included Franklinville’s Grace Cornell and Lilah Cudney making the first team and Portville’s Alexa Schoonover claiming a second team spot.
