Diane M. Buckner
Diane M. Buckner
Diane M. Buckner, 72, formerly of 1293 E Main St, Bradford, passed away on June 17, 2025, with her husband at her side as he always promised.
Born April 28, 1953, in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert James and Ruth Emma (Reed) Deppa. She graduated from Salamanca High School Class of 1971.
On December 27, 1985, in Allegany, NY, Diane married Gregory A. Buckner, who survives.
Together, they built a family that was messy, joyful, and chaotic by nature yet stronger than most because its foundation was their love. This was her greatest pride and joy in life and the legacy we will carry into the future.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church, VFW Post 212 of Bradford, the Women of the Moose Chapter 330, and the Bills Mafia.
Surviving in addition to her husband Greg, of 39 years, are three daughters: Dawn S (Dennis) Morrisroe and Jill M Torrey, both of Bradford, Angela M (Tom Ehlers) Buckner of Salem, MA, two sons: Eric J (Dara) Haynoski and Gregory A (Casey) Buckner, Jr, both of Bradford, 12 grandchildren: Patrick Morrisroe, Seth Morrisroe, Ashlyn (Nick) Burt, Abbey Morrisroe, Alec Morrisroe, Isaac Morrisroe, Mackenzie Torrey, Adam Torrey, Isaiah Charnisky, Eli Haynoski, Mason Haynoski, and Gregory Buckner, III, and two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Declan Burt, three siblings: Cindy Deppa, Randolph, NY, Larry (Jennifer) Deppa, North Myrtle Beach, SC, Janette (John) Reis, Omaha, NE, and one sister-in-law, Joan Deppa, Allegany, NY, and several nieces and nephews whom she adored and celebrated, just as her aunts Norlene Yehl, and the late Betty Craig did for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: David Deppa and Robert (the late Jeanne) Deppa, III.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. Friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Friday in St. Bernard Church with Rev.
