Olean city surplus auction set for Saturday
OLEAN — Bikes, power tools, office equipment, kitchen implements, and other goods are among the lots set for auction Saturday at the William O. Smith Recreation Center.
New this year are a number of surplussed ground ladders, as well as tires left over after city vehicles were retired, said Kris Shewairy, coordinator of the city’s recreation department.
“We’re like Ollie’s: ‘Good stuff, cheap,’” Shewairy said. “We have over 80 bikes.”
The doors open at 9:30 a.m., with the auction beginning at 10 a.m. Cash or checks with ID are accepted for payment. The items are offered as-is, where-is, and must be removed the day of the auction.
