    Big 30 names Smith, Keesler as Senior Classic participants

    Big 30 names Smith, Keesler as Senior Classic participants

    The Big 30 Senior Classic foothall game on Aug. 2 will include local standouts such as Portville’s Cole Keesler and Ellicottville’s Carter Smith. Player bios are below, and more names will be released soon.

     

    Cole Keesler

    Portville Central School

    Height 5’5” – Weight: 150 lbs.

    Offense: RB – Defense: DB

    Cole plans to attend St. Bonaventure University to major in Exercise Science and play baseball. He would like to continue on to become a Physical Therapist. He was honored by making the First Team League All-Star Team for Baseball. He also received the Team Leadership Award for Football and was a regular on the High Honor Roll. He wants to play in the Big 30 game so he can be on the field to play football one last time. He feels that making the Big 30 team is a huge accomplishment and looks forward to playing against the best in the area. Cole’s best football memory was beating Chautauqua Lake to move on to the championship game that was played at Highmark Stadium. His hobbies are working out, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. His favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is George Pickens.

    Breckham Hunt

    Cuba-Rushford High School

    Height: 5’9” – Weight: 200 lbs

    Offense: RB – Defense: DE

    Breckham plans to attend Alfred State and major in Heavy Equipment Operation. He was an Honorable Mention All-Star in football during his junior year and was the team captain during his senior year. He wants to play in the Big 30 because, for as long as he can remember, he had a goal to play hard enough to be selected as a Big 30 All-Star. His best football memory was playing in the Section VI Championship game at Highmark Stadium. Breckham’s hobbies are hunting, working out, and running heavy equipment. His favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Troy Polamalu.

    Collin Mooney

    Franklinville High School

    Height: 5’11” – Weight 170 lbs.

    Offense: FB – Defense: MLB

    Collin plans to attend Alfred State College to pursue a degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician to become an Electrician. His awards and honors include being named as a 1st Team All-Star in football, Character Athlete of the Week, Rizzo’s Athlete of the Week, and Scholar Athlete. In basketball, he received 2nd Team All-Star recognition, was the Utility Player of the Year, Honorable Mention Team All-Star, Most Improved Player, and Scholar Athlete. He was on the High Honor roll, inducted into the National Honor Society, received the Confidence Character Award of the Month, BOCES Outstanding Student in Fundamental Building Systems, BOCES High Honor Roll, and was inducted into the BOCES National Technical Honor Society. Collin wants to play in the Big 30 game because he feels that it is a huge honor to be selected to play in the game and be recognized for all his hard work and dedication that he has put into playing football over the years. His best football memory is going to Highmark Stadium to play. His hobbies include hunting, snowmobiling, and riding side-by-sides. Collin’s favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Tyler Bass.

    Xavier Peters

    Salamanca High School

    Height: 5’11” – Weight: 175 lbs.

    Offense: RB – Defense: DE

    Xavier plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Health Care and play lacrosse. His awards and honors include being named to the 2nd Team All-Western New York for football and being on the High Honor Roll throughout his high school career. He wants to play in the Big 30 game to give himself one last chance to play with friends, teammates, and coaches, specifically his own coach, Chad Bartoszek. Xavier’s hobbies are working out, playing the piano, and going for walks. His favorite football team is the New York Jets and his favorite football player is Barry Sanders.

    Noah Fuller

    Cattaraugus Little Valley Central School

    Height: 5’11” – Weight: 180 lbs.

    Offense: G/T – Defense: MLB

     

    Noah plans to attend college for Business. His honors and awards were 2nd team Football and the Jason Denfrund Hog Award. He wants to play in the Big 30 game to continue his football career and just for the overall experience. Noah’s best memory while playing football was winning his first varsity game against Cardinal O’Hara. Noah’s hobby is riding dirt bikes. His favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills.

    Carter Smith

    Ellicottville Central School

    Height: 5’10” – Weight: 160 lbs.

    Offense: RB – Defense: CB

    Carter plans to attend Finger Lakes Community College to study Conservation. The honors that he has received were Scholar Athlete in his junior and senior year, and Second Team Football on Defense. He wants to play in the Big 30 game because he feels that it is a cool accomplishment being chosen to play in the game. Carter’s best football memory was playing at Highmark Stadium as a senior. His hobbies include hunting, basketball, and football. His favorite team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Josh Allen.
