Police reports 6/4/25
Olean Police
- Wednesday, 8:15 a.m., Mary M. Bedard, 38, of Allegany, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding in a school zone, an infraction. Bedard is due back in court at a later date.
Wellsville Police
- Tuesday, no time provided, Magin J.L. Dunaway, 44, of Wellsville, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony. The charge stems from an incident reported May 6 on North Highland Avenue. Dunaway was released with an appearance ticket.
Allegany County Sheriff’s Office
- BELMONT — Damion Merrill, 19, of Friendship, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. Merrill was allegedly found in possession of an unspecified quantity of suspected methamphetamine while at the Allegany County Courthouse. Merrill was released with an appearance ticket.
New York State Police
- RUSHFORD — James O. Gwise, 30, of Delevan, was charged at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday with enterprise corruption, a class B felony, and second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony. The charge stems from incidents reported Jan. 23 in Rushford and May 23 in Allegany. Gwise was held pending arraignment.
- CATTARAUGUS — Lance Lavallee, 43, of Cattaraugus, was charged Tuesday with second-degree menacing, acting in a manner injurious to a child and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class A misdemeanors. Lavallee’s status was not reported.
- GOWANDA — Kaela Sierra Jimerson, 26, of Gowanda, was charged at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater, unclassified misdemeanors. Jimerson was released with an appearance ticket.
