OLEAN — Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to hit the trail later this month for an evening of fun, wellness and community spirit.

The 15th annual Southern Tier Corporate Challenge is set for 6 p.m. June 26 at the Jamestown Community College Cattaraugus County Campus on North Union Street. Organizers at the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce are expecting a similar draw as the 2024 event — which brought out more than 1,000 participants.

Thanks to Race Management Solutions and timing graciously sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, participants can expect a professionally timed 5K run, where runners can compete for awards and bragging rights. Those who choose not to run can enjoy a leisurely stroll with friends and colleagues in the non-timed 2.1-mile Fun Walk.

The public is also invited to join for the first time in the event’s history. Participants who aren’t employed by a Chamber member business are able to register as individuals or on their own Community Team. Teams made up of employees of GOACC Member businesses are encouraged to enter the Corporate Division. Hybrid teams will also join the Community Division.

There will be overall Fastest Female and Fastest Male awards, Corporate and Community awards, and Most Spirited.

At the finish line will be Olean’s “Largest Office Party,” where participants can celebrate their hard work with post-race grub from eight of our Member food trucks, beer from Wright Beverage, and more. Participants will receive a $12 food voucher and one free beer ticket with proof of legal age with their official race bib, complimentary waters throughout the event and a 15%-off coupon for the official event shirt, redeemable on the shop.oleanny.com. The minimum age to participate is 16+ or children in a stroller with a parent.
