OLEAN — Olean General Hospital has welcomed nurse practitioner Kelly Blackmon, a native of Shinglehouse, Pa., to its primary care practice.

Blackmon joins nurse practitioner Evelyn Ouellette, enhancing access to primary care for the community.

Blackmon brings more than 20 years of experience in managing acute, chronic and complex medical conditions. Her areas of expertise include addressing high blood pressure, high cholesterol, COPD, GERD, irritable bowel syndrome, peripheral artery disease and diabetes.

In addition, she holds specialized certification in wound care, providing treatment for both acute and chronic wounds with a focus on advanced wound healing techniques.

Blackmon earned her DDoctor of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a Master of Science in advanced nursing practice from Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mansfield (Pa.) University. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a certified wound care specialist through the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy.
