SCIO — Scio Central School announced that Hailey Illerbrun is the valedictorian for the Class of 2025, while Aubrey Toth is the salutatorian.
With a cumulative GPA of 95.02, Illerbrun has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership and an inspiring commitment to both her studies and extracurricular pursuits.
The daughter of Amber Reid and Gary Illerbrun, she has been deeply involved in school activities throughout her high school career. She served as a Student Board of Education member, is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and has participated in the Foreign Language Club for five years.
Illerbrun is also an accomplished musician, having received numerous honors and recognitions for her musicianship, contributing significantly to the school’s music program.
She will attend Geneva College in Pennsylvania, where she plans to major in early childhood and special education, pursuing her passion for working with and inspiring young learners.
With a commendable cumulative GPA of 90.48, Toth has earned the honor of salutatorian through academic dedication, perseverance, and consistent pursuit of excellence throughout high school.
Aubrey is the grandchild of Theresa Toth-Fleishman and Scott Mureddu, and is recognized not only for academic achievement but also for leadership and involvement in school life. They have served as class president and participated actively in the Drama Club and History Club.
Looking ahead, Toth intends to pursue higher education in psychology or criminology at Keuka College and plans to eventually build a career in the legal field, driven by a passion for justice and making a difference.
Both Illerbrun and Toth will deliver addresses at Scio’s graduation ceremony on June 27.
