PORTVILLE — Pfeiffer Nature Center will host an opportunity for visitors to explore the forest either a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation forester from 10 a.m. until noon June 12 at the Lillibridge property, 1974 Lillibridge Road.
A DEC forester will lead a guided walk, demonstrating how to identify common trees, shrubs and invasive plants found in Western New York. Attendees will learn how foresters balance tree harvesting with the needs of wildlife, recreating and long-term forest health.
