Olean Police
- Saturday, 8 a.m., no injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North Fourth and West State streets. A vehicle operated by Roger N. Hain, 81, of North 19th Street, reportedly ran a red light and collided with a vehicle operated by Shane A. Ellis, 26, of 818 W. Sullivan St. Hain was subsequently cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, an infraction. Ellis was subsequently charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor.
- Saturday, 2:24 p.m., no injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on East Spring Street near Alder Street. A vehicle operated by Christopher L. Elliott, 42, of 318 Center St., reportedly struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Elliott was subsequently cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, an infraction.
Salamanca Police
- Sunday, 10:11 p.m., Devin R. Bomberry., 33, of Steamburg, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding, infractions. Bomberry was released with an appearance ticket.
- Monday, 10:35 p.m., John D. Riley, 61, of Salamanca, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Riley was released with an appearance ticket.
Wellsville Police
- Saturday, no time provided, Nathaniel A. Roeske, 35, of Jacksonville, N.C., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; refusal to take a breath test and and speed in zone, infractions. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Bolivar Road. Roeske was transported to Allegany County Jail and held pending arraignment.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office
- OLEAN — Tracy A. Ahern, no age provided, of Olean, was charged Thursday with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree welfare fraud, class D felonies; and offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony. The charges stem from the investigation into a complaint of suspected welfare fraud made by the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services. According to deputies, Ahern allegedly fraudulently $3,422 in SNAP benefits by concealing or failing to report income. Ahern was released with an appearance ticket.
- CONEWANGO — Mark A. Swiatek, 37, of Buffalo, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor; and other unspecified vehicle and traffic violations. The charges stem from the investigation into an accident on Route 241. Swiatek was released on his own recognizance.
- NEW ALBION — Bethany A. Phinney, 35, of New Albion, was arrested Friday on a warrant issued out of Cheektowaga Town Court. Phinney was turned over to the Cheektowaga Police Department.

- CARROLLTON — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 12:32 p.m. Monday on Route 219. Amy Marie Carls, 35, of Allegany, was identified as the driver. One injury was reported.
