Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce gears up for Picnic in the Park June 12

OLEAN — Come join the biggest party of the summer in Lincoln Park at a discounted rate.

Tickets for the first Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce Picnic in the Park on June 12 — formerly known as the Chamber Clambake — are available at a discounted rate online through June 2.

Chamber officials said a new name was implemented to better reflect the wide array of menu offerings, as well as opening the event beyond Chamber member businesses to the general public. The event is set for 4-8:30 p.m. June 12 in Lincoln Park.

The event, catered by Century Manor, will serve as the Chamber’s kickoff for the summer event season.

Food options include mini beef on wecks, beef and chicken sliders, a nacho bar, barbecue meatballs, mac and cheese, street corn, salt potatoes, deviled eggs, baked beans, pasta salad, potato salad, and fresh fruit. Steamed, raw, and clams casino will be served, as well as crab cakes and tuna bites. For dessert, enjoy apple pie, brownies, and s’mores rice crispy treats.

Standard tickets are $65 for Chamber members and $75 for non-members. Standard tickets include entry to the event, as well as full access to the food and non-alcoholic drinks, like water, iced tea, and lemonade. Ticketholders aged 21 and older can purchase alcoholic beverage tickets individually for $4. Choose from two draft beers and a seltzer option. Premium tickets, which include alcoholic beverages, are $75 for members and $85 for non-members.

All ticket prices increase by $10 after 5 p.m. Monday.

Tickets are available online at www.oleanny.com/picnic or in the GOACC Gift Shop at 301 N Union St. A limited number of tickets may be available the day of the event, but are pending availability. Tickets will be emailed, and attendees should bring a printed ticket or the email on a phone to scan at check-in. Tickets may be resent by Chamber staff if needed.

A basket raffle will also be held, sponsored by Nick Shembeda Plumbing & Heating; as well as a raffle for a Cutco Homemaker set, and yard games provided by the GOACC and Intandem.

Event veterans 2 Guys Drinking Beer will provide musical accompaniment throughout the event, sponsored by Sol Epoxy. Cutco Corporation is sponsoring the wristbands that attendees will wear, and Van Skiver’s Heating and Air Conditioning is sponsoring the event tickets.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available online at www.OleanNY.com/sponsorships.
