OLEAN — Four people face drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence located at 753 Garden Ave. Thursday night.
The Olean Police Department reported the search warrant was obtained by the street crimes unit after investigators had received multiple complaints of possible drug sales at that address. Crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia were allegedly discovered during the search.
Dwayne A. Higgs, 39, of Buffalo, was charged at 10:40 p.m. with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug, a class C felony; tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony; possession of a hypodermic instrument, a class A misdemenaor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police said Higgs also had two warrants from Erie, Pa., as a parole absconder and one warrant from Niagara Falls for drug-related charges.
Higgs was allegedly found in possession of seven grams of crack cocaine, police said.
Also arrested were Tunnisha R. Lissmore, 41, of Buffalo, who was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; and Kyle D. Giardini, 19, and Jamie L. See, 34, both of 753 Garden Ave., who were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, both class A misdemeanors.
Higgs and Lissmore were held pending arraignment. Giardini and See were issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s K-9 unit and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force assisted Olean police during the search of the apartment.
