Position Overview:
The Town of Willing is seeking qualified
applicants for the position of Highway
Superintendent. This vital role requires a
dedicated individual to manage highway
operations, supervise employees, and
ensure efficient use of resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– Must be a resident of the Town of
Willing.
– Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's
License).
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee daily operations and
maintenance of highways.
– Manage and maintain an annual budget
for highway operations.
– Supervise employees and coordinate
projects and daily activities.
– Maintain accurate records of time and
employee performance.
– Responsible for purchasing necessary
materials and equipment for operations.
– Plan and manage summer maintenance
and construction projects.
– Prepare and submit monthly billing to
the Town Board for approval.
– Complete monthly highway reports for submission to the Town Board.
– Determine appropriate actions,
including calling in highway crews during
non-standard working hours for plowing,
sanding, and other emergency events.
– Address and manage various situations
as they arise.
