SPECIFICATIONS FOR REFUSE COLLECTION IN TOWN OF FRIENDSHIP

The Town of Friendship is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the collection of refuse from Town of Friendship residential premises. The Town of Friendship will award a contract to only one firm for collection of the whole Town of Friendship. The Town of Friendship currently has 515 single family

residences and 18 apartment’s and 8 dumpsters. To be qualified, firms submitting a bid must be able to show at least five years of experience in this type of work and provide names of at least four communities where work has

successfully been performed in the past five years.

The preferable term of the contract will start June 1, 2026 thru December 31, 2026, Then for a five-year period, beginning January 1, 2027 with an

option to renew for three years and then for a second separate option to renew for an additional two years. In responding, contractors are encouraged to comment on the specific items contained within this specification as well as to provide as much detail on proposed implementation of the requirements contained within.

The Town of Friendship uses an RFP (Request for Proposal) procedure for requisitioning services that

require multiple factors to be considered. This is a formal negotiation and price is not the only deciding factor per the Town’s RFP Scoring Form

(attached).

Bid Proposals will be received at the Town of Friendship Town Hall, 4 East Main Street, Friendship, NY 14739

until Tuesday May 19, 2026; 4pm. All Bids must be accompanied with a closed Proposal Form. Proposal Bids will be opened up at our regular
