PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that the Town Board of the Town of Belfast, Allegany County, New York, will hold a Public

Hearing on

Proposed Local Law No. 005 of 2026, entitled:

"A Local Law Repealing Local Law No. 003-2026,

Battery Energy Storage System Law of the Town of Belfast."

The Public Hearing will be held on the 20th day of July, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at:

Town Hall

13 Merton Avenue

Belfast, New York 14711

Purpose of the Hearing

The purpose of the proposed Local Law is to repeal Local Law No. 003-2026 because the

version adopted by the Town Board and filed with the New York State

Department of State was a draft version rather than the

final version intended for adoption.

The proposed repeal is intended to ensure the Town's legislative record accurately reflects the actions of the Town Board and to permit consideration of a revised Battery Energy Storage System Local Law through the procedures

required by New York law.

At the Public Hearing, all interested persons shall have an opportunity to be heard. Written

comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk prior to or at the Public Hearing.
