The Village of Cuba Department of Public Works

is seeking reliable and motivated individuals, 18 years or older for part-time seasonal employment. This role provides valuable hands-on experience assisting with a variety of indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks while contributing to the upkeep of the community as part of a team.

This is a temporary position beginning June 1st 2026 to August 28th 2026.

Typical Work

Activities:

• Perform manual tasks as assigned by a supervisor, both indoors and outdoors

• Complete a variety of labor tasks in all weather conditions, including potentially unpleasant environments

• Assist road crews with duties such as shoveling, digging ditches/sluices, flagging traffic, and raking debris

• Clear trees, brush, and cut grass in

assigned areas

• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles

• Operate light equipment as

required

• Perform general housekeeping and cleanup duties

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform

manual labor

• Dependability and readiness to work in all weather

conditions

Minimum

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers

license required

• Must pass NYS DOT drug and

alcohol testing
