District Notice of Annual Election

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Chapter 78 of the Laws of the NYS Legislature in 1981, which established the statutory authority of the formation and operation of the Rushford Lake Recreation District (RLRD), the annual election of the RLRD will be held on the last Saturday of July and be conducted as follows:

VOTING LOCATION: Rushford Lake Recreation District Office

Rushford Town Hall – Lower Level 8999 Main Street Rushford, New York

DATE OF ELECTION: Saturday, July 25, 2026

HOURS FOR VOTING: 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm

DESCRIPTION: Election of ONE (1) commissioner to fill an expired three year term.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that (1) nomination petitions may be obtained on the RLRD website www.rl-rd.com or at the RLRD office and are due in the office by Saturday, June 27, 2026, (2) all those intending to vote must be registered by Wednesday, July 1, 2026 if registering by mail, or by Wednesday, July 15, 2026 if registering in person, and (3) absentee ballots by registered voters, whether requested by mail or in person, must be received by 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the RLRD office is open on Mondays and Wednesdays 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, Fridays 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Saturdays, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon.
