Applications being accepted beginning

November 3, 2025

The Allegany County Department of Social

Services will begin

accepting applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) regular benefits on Monday, November 3, 2025, for the 2025-26 heating season. The projected closing date for regular HEAP is April 7, 2026.

Applications for emergency benefits will be accepted beginning

Friday, January 2, 2026, through the projected closing date of April 7, 2026. For more information or to apply contact the Allegany County Department of

Social Services at (585) 268-9622, the Allegany County Office for the Aging at (585) 268-9390 or visit mybenefits.ny.gov. Please note that Allegany County offices will be closed the following days: November 4th for Election Day, November 11th for Veteran’s Day, and November 27h and 28th for Thanksgiving and December 24th and 25th for Christmas.
