NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING TO
DISCUSS
OUTCOMES OF ALLEGANY COUNTY’S CDBG GRANT FUNDED MANUFACTURED HOME
REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
The Allegany County Board of Legislators will
convene a Second Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the County Legislators' Chambers, Room 221, County Office Building, 7 Court Street, Belmont, New York, to discuss the outcomes of Allegany County’s CDBG Manufactured Home Replacement Program
CDBG Contract #20MH337-23 in collaboration with Cattaraugus Community Action Agency. The location of public hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed, please contact the Clerk of the Board, Brenda Rigby Riehle by phone 585-268-9220 or by email at brenda.riehle@
alleganyco.gov, at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. A Second Public Hearing is required following 75 percent of the contract budget disbursement and prior to the final funding draw request. The CDBG funding award was $600,000 and the contract expires on January 13, 2026.
EXPLANATION OF THE OUTCOMES ACHIEVED
Positive outcomes were installing three new homes for income eligible residents of Allegany County. New manufactured homes are energy star efficient and were placed on permanent concrete slab foundations with concrete block skirting and new steps/ramp and porch railings. Additional site work included asbestos testing, abatement, demolition, disposal of old units, and licensed electrical inspection, code inspection, and new Certificates of
Occupancy.
