Notice is hereby given that the proposed budget of the Allegany Joint Fire District for the fiscal year 2025 will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Allegany Joint Fire District, for its consideration.

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the 2nd floor training room at the Allegany Fire Hall, 186 West Main Street, Allegany, New York, 14706 on the 14th day of

October, 2025.

Pursuant to Town Law # 105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, and allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.

The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.

Immediately following the budget hearing, a special meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Allegany Joint Fire District will be held to adopt the final 2026 budget.

That a copy of the proposed budget is available at the office of the Town Clerk, 52 West Main Street, Allegany, New York 14706 and Fire District Secretary, 186 West Main Street, Allegany, New York 14706 where it may be inspected by any interested person during normal business hours (9A.M. to 4:00 P.M.); or by contacting the Fire District Secretary Jill Stady at 716-378-4663.
