The Village of Belmont adoption of Local Law 1 of the Year 2026, titled “A Local law authorizing a Property Tax Levy in excess of the Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-c for the Fiscal Year commencing June 1st, 2026, was adopted By the Village of Belmont on February 16, 2026, at the Monthly Board Meeting. This law permits the Village to adopt a budget for the fiscal year of

2026-2027 with a property tax levy exceeding the limit set by General Municipal Law §3-c. The Local Law was adopted by the Village Board by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 no’s and is effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
