LEGAL NOTICE OF ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election for the Lyndon Fire District will be held on December 9, 2025, at 828 Lyndon Center Road, Cuba, NY 14727, at which time the polls for voting will be open between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for the purpose of electing one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years which term is to commence January 1, 2026 and end December 31, 2030. Candidates for the office of Fire Commissioner must be residents of the Lyndon Fire District at the time of the election and during the term of office. Any candidate for the office of Fire Commissioner must file his or her name with the Secretary of the Fire District no later than November 19, 2025 if such candidate desires his or her name to be inserted upon the ballots to be used at such election.

The following proposition shall also be submitted to the voters for

Shall the following Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Lyndon Fire District, entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE

LYNDON FIRE DISTRICT TO MAKE FIRE DISTRICT TREASURER APPOINTIVE, adopted October 23, 2025, changing the treasurer position from elective to appointive, be approved?

All persons who have been residents of the Lyndon Fire District for at least thirty (30) days preceding the election, and who registered to vote with the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections at least twenty-three (23) days before the election are eligible to vote at such Lyndon Fire District election.
