ANNUAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

ELECTION

AND PUBLIC HEARING IN LIEU OF ANNUAL SCHOOL

DISTRICT

MEETING

The Board of

Education of Cuba-Rushford Central School District, Cuba, New York, hereby gives

notice that public hearing on the

proposed 2026-27 budget and related propositions will be held in the

Elementary School Library, Cuba, New York, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, beginning at 6 p.m.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that a copy of the statement of the amount of money which will be required for the ensuing year for School purposes exclusive of public money, may be obtained by taxpayers or voters in the District during the fourteen (14) days preceding May 19, 2026 except Saturday, Sunday, or

Holidays, at the

following schoolhouse and town hall building in which school and business is maintained during the hours designated:

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that Petitions nominating candidates for

office of the members of the Board of Education must be filed with the Clerk of the District between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. not later than the 30th day preceding the annual election.

The vacancy to be filled on the Board of Education is:

FIVE YEAR TERM TO SUCCEED THE EXPIRED TERM OF PAUL YOUNG, said term to expire June 30, 2031

Each Petition must be directed to the Clerk of the Cuba-Rushford Central School District, must be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, must be filed with the District at least thirty (30) days

prior to the budget vote on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and,

must state the name and residence of the

candidate.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN, that voting will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the following schoolhouse and Town Hall in which school and business is maintained during the hours designated:

between the hours of 12 NOON and 8 p.m. for the voting upon the election of one (1) board member of the Board of Education and for the vote upon the appropriation of

necessary funds to meet the established expenditures of the District, and on the propositions involving expenditure of money and authorizing the levy of taxes by the District and for voting upon any other propositions lawfully and properly submitted to be voted upon at such annual district

election.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that said Annual School District Election will be conducted by the use of paper ballots; that the Board of Education has adopted rules and regulations relative to the submission of questions or

propositions by the electors of said School District to be placed on the said ballots, subject to the Education Law of the State of New York; copies of such rules and regulations may be obtained upon request from the Clerk of the School District.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the members of the Board of Registration shall meet to prepare the register of the School District for each election district on the following dates, times, and location:

May 5-14, 2026, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (weekdays) at the Cuba-Rushford Middle-High School Building District Office, 5476 Route 305, Cuba, New York.

Any person shall be entitled to have his or her name placed upon such register, provided that at any such meeting of the members of the Board of Registration he or she is known or proven to the satisfaction of such members to be then or thereafter entitled to vote at the election for which such register is prepared. The register of the School District for the

annual district election shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of the District and such register shall be open for

inspection by any qualified voter of the District and such register will be open for inspection on each of the five (5) days prior to and the day set for the annual district election, except Saturdays and Sundays as follows: Please call the
